Below are examples of some of the young people we have helped. All names have been changed to preserve confidentiality.

Following a turbulent and troubled childhood, Ryan found himself falling in with the wrong crowd. He increasingly got into trouble and became known to the police and other agencies. In danger of spiralling into a life of crime, Ryan's Youth Offending Team Support Worker applied to Let June Make A Difference for a grant to buy boxing equipment for him to enable him to join the local boxing club. This would bring focus, discipline and routine into his life. His attendance and concentration at school has improved and he enjoys directing his frustration and anger in a controlled, safe space rather than out on the street.

Amiva is a pupil at a North Kirklees primary school whose class had the opportunity to go to Cliffe House, an outdoor learning and education centre in Shepley, Huddersfield. Her family's circumstances meant that the cost of attending the trip was beyond their means and Amiva risked missing out on the trip on which all her friends were going. The school applied to Let June Make A Difference for a grant to cover the cost of Amiva's place on the trip. She had a fantastic time, telling us "I had a midnight feast with my friends." The whole class wrote thank you letters, a few of which we've shared below.

"Amiva had an amazing time and truly appreciates your contribution to her wonderful experience."
